Either your company employed you to dive deeper into your personal bias towards diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), or you find curiosity and interest in learning more about how to be a g.o.o.d.* human. We know the workforce sees DEI as a hot commodity from what we learned from "The Great Resignation." One study shows that "around 40% of employees are thinking about leaving their jobs in the next three to six months" (McKinsey, 2022). Why are professionals leaving? They want to belong and feel appreciated as their humanistic selves in the workplace. They want to feel dignified and appreciated for their work. They no longer desire to burn out and feel incompetent in meeting the company's bottom line (Cengage, 2022).

G.O.O.D. refers to “Great observers and operative directors”. It is not enough to sit back and observe issues in our workplace and communities without action. We must take time to develop social justice attributes to envision equity and inclusion for all, and actively work toward achieving them with a DEI lens (Clausen, B.D., 2022).
App 4 Change is a mobile application that gamifies DEI teachings, news, reports, and challenges to help professionals become purpose-driven leaders, realize implicit biases, and recondition the mind. The mobile application envisions change by challenging the user’s self-perception of influencing change through inclusive leadership, community- and relationship-building. Studies show that once a human predicts an outcome of a situation, they enforce behavior, emotion, and physiologic responses for self-preservation. Often, our unconscious thoughts prevent us from shifting our behaviors and perception toward others. Without consciously choosing an equitable and inclusive mindset, we risk holding implicit biases that harm humanity. Therefore, we must evaluate our ability to be g.o.o.d.* people by envisioning new possibilities of change for ourselves and actively working to achieve goals with a DEI lens.

How the App 4 Change Works
TRAININGS, VIDEOS, NEWS & REPORTS FROM EXPERT PRACTITIONERS BASED ON RESULTS
App 4 Change is a mobile application that gamifies DEI teachings, news, reports, and challenges to help professionals become purpose-driven leaders, realize implicit biases, and recondition the mind. The mobile application envisions change by challenging the user’s self-perception of influencing change through inclusive leadership, community- and relationship-building.
It is recommended that users open the mobile application daily and choose digestible DEI news, teachings and activities from expert practitioners worldwide, ranging from racism, sexism, ageism, ableism, classism, and religious discrimination.
The training and activity offerings are suggested based on the user’s daily score. The points comprise the user’s original assessment score, training quiz scores, and daily usage patterns. Users who wait 24 hours or more to engage in the mobile app will decrease in score to encourage daily usage. The user participates in daily trainings and activities to increase and maintain an equitable and inclusive mindset. Neuroscience shows that learning new concepts and practices repeatedly helps us respond better to implicit biases and situations (Richards, B.A. et al., 2020).
The time allotment for training sessions and activities ranges from 15 to 90 minutes. The mobile algorithm will suggest digestible training meal plans like breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert to improve the user’s daily score. The training offerings range from beginner to advanced.
